In recognition of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we invite you to a special event at the McGlothlin Medical Education Center on VCU's campus. Join us for an evening of education as we discuss navigating health challenges as women.
This event will feature an amazing panel of speakers, including medical experts from Virginia Commonwealth University, William & Mary alumnae who will share their personal stories and a current W&M student who spent the past summer researching breast cancer treatments. We are excited to partner with Here for the Girls, a non-profit dedicated to supporting young women affected by breast cancer. Co-founders Rene Roark Bowditch J.D. ’82 and Mary Beth Morrill Gibson ’86 will moderate the panel.
Join us to learn how to be your own best advocate in your health journey. We’ll talk about the unique challenges women often face when dealing with a cancer diagnosis or any health issue. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge to take charge of your health confidently. We’ll also cover the important role of mental health and wellness in overall health.
Tickets are $20 ($15 for Young Guarde, $10 for current students) and include heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages. We have a limited number of sponsored tickets available free of cost. If you are in need of a sponsored ticket, please select that as your option on the registration below.
We hope to see you there!
This event is sponsored by the Society of 1918.
