Navigating Transitions is a signature William & Mary Women’s program designed to support you through moments of change — whether personal, professional or both.
Built for a moment like this one, the program helps participants find their footing and lead themselves and others through change and uncertainty with greater confidence and intention.
Through a powerful combination of an immersive in-person retreat and a guided online cohort experience, you’ll gain the tools, space and support to reflect, reset and move forward.
While designed with women in mind, all are welcome to participate.

A cohort-based journey
You’ll be part of a thoughtfully curated group of participants across career stages and life experiences.
Intergenerational connection
Mid-career and late-career participants learn from one another, offering perspective, wisdom and support that expands what’s possible.
Expert coaching + personal integration
Led by executive coaches Amy Steindler ’80, Sequoia Owen ’12 and Dorian Baroni ’81, the program blends group learning with individualized support — including up to two one-on-one coaching sessions in the online program (a $700 value).
A focus on self-leadership
The program helps you better understand how you respond to uncertainty, strengthen your leadership stance and make more intentional decisions when the path ahead is unclear.
A balance of structure and space
Guided learning is paired with reflection, mindfulness and practices that help you integrate change in a sustainable way
What to expect:
In-Person Retreat (September 11–13)
A 2.5-day immersive experience designed to help you step away from daily demands and reconnect with yourself.

- Full-group sessions and small group breakouts
- Guided reflection, journaling and dialogue
- Optional yoga, meditation and wellness experiences
- Meals and refreshments included
- A closing session to integrate your learning and next steps
The retreat begins Friday morning (8:30 a.m.) and concludes Sunday afternoon.
You’ll also receive a follow-up group integration session after the retreat to continue the momentum.
Online Cohort Experience (September 16 – November 18)
A 10-week guided journey to deepen your learning and sustain your growth.

- Weekly live sessions (75 minutes, recorded if missed)
- Tools, frameworks and practices to navigate change
- Access to a private online community space
- Peer accountability and support partnerships
- Up to two individual coaching sessions
Sessions are held weekly on Wednesdays at noon ET.
